The Yuko hair straightening system is a chemically based system that permanently straightens your hair. The process can only take place at a hairdresser's salon, where the stylist has been trained in the Yuko hair straightening system.

What hair types is the Yuko system suitable for?

The system is suitable for most hair types, with the exception of:

• Afro hair - although it will work on tightly curled caucasian hair after two applications.
• Bleached hair - the hair is already too damaged for the further application of chemicals.

How long does it last?

It depends how quickly your hair grows, but you can expect at least 12 months between treatments. You may find with continued treatments that your hair becomes less wavy over time.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on the length of your hair, but you can expect to pay in excess of £300 for shoulder length hair.
